Vectrex

The Vectrex was a vector-display-based home console first released by General Consumer Electronics in 1982. The only vector-display-based console ever mass-produced, the Vectrix featured an integrated monochrome CRT monitor and detachable wired control pad. Games included translucent colored overlays that were placed over the screen, and peripherals like the "3D Imager" goggles and a light pen that could be used to draw directly on the screen were available. An Asteroids clone, Mine Storm, was built into the console, and 27 additional titles—including Armor Attack, Berzerk, Pole Position, and Star Castle—were released. A victim of the 1983 video game crash, the Vectrex was discontinued in 1984.
