Playstation 3

Sony's third entry in the home console market, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) was first introduced in November of 2006. The successor to the highest-selling console of all-time. the PS3 carried great expectations, and it mostly delivered. With new features like a built-in hard drive, internet capability, access to the PlayStation Network, Blu-Ray playback, and partial backward compatibility with PS2 and PlayStation games. Later incarnations included the PS3 Slim and Super Slim models. Titles like Grand Theft Auto IV, Batman: Arkham City, The Last of Us, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, God of War III, Bioshock Infinite, and the Rock Band series made the PS3 a massive hit. The console remained in production through 2016 and sold more than 87 million units.
