PSP

The PlayStation Portable (PSP) was first introduced in Japan in 2004. Sony's first foray into the handheld gaming market was the most technologically advanced handheld system to date when launched, offering the first real competition to Nintendo since the Sega Game Gear. Featuring graphical capability comparable to that of the PS2, onboard Wi-Fi, PS2 and PS3 connectivity, and Universal Media Disc (UMD) support, the PSP was a true "mobile entertainment" device. Thanks to titles like Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions, LittleBigPlanet, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, and Half-Minute Hero, the PSP was a commercial and critical success. The system remained in production for roughly 10 years and sold more than 80 million units.
